Up till 1900 there were three marketplaces in North-Troms. The North-Tromsland.no is a common meetinplace for around 50 firms and organisations, from Storfjord up to Langfjord in Alta, working with tourism or local culture. In April, 1999, three tourism companies - Arktisk Geoturisme in Skjervøy, Kvænangen Adventure in Kvænangen and Elvebåtsenteret in Nordreisa – registered the company Nord-Tromslandet.no DA in the Brønnøysund Companies’ Register. The new company’s main objective is to run joint marketing of the North Troms region’s nature and tourism offers to international tour operators. Initially we envisaged about 10-15 companies, but today no less than 40 companies have expressed an interest to participate in the collaboration...
